This activity held online via the Zoom Meeting platform to use facilitate participation from all over joined participants in Specialist Medicine Incorporated Clinical Pathology in PDS PatKLIn Semarang Branch and Specialist Doctor Education Program Faculty Clinical Pathology Diponegoro University Medicine as well as the Specialist Doctor Education Program Faculty Clinical Pathology Hasanudin University Medicine .
Source person major in college visitor is DR. Dr. Liong Boy Kurniawan, M.Kes, Sp.PK, Subsp.EM (K), one expert pathology clinic from Faculty Medicine Hasanudin University Makassar and Management of PDS PatKlin Makassa. In his presentation , Dr. Liong Boy explained about Non-Thyroidal Illness (NTI) generally refers to conditions health or disease like disease cardiovascular, infection channel breathing and disorders channel digest which is not in a way direct involve thyroid but influence rate hormone thyroid inside body . NTI is circumstances In patients who have never been diagnosed with intrinsic thyroid disease, critical illness can cause major changes in thyroid hormone metabolism, causing euthyroid sick syndrome . This syndrome is characterized by low T3 syndrome. In patients with NTI divided become acute phase, chronic/prolonged phase, acute psychiatric disorders or influence drug. Monitoring serial hormone checks thyroid can explain about NTI progression and prognosis.
